Description

The legend of the Testa di Moro or Moor’s Head,  is one of the best known of the Sicilian tradition. They portray the face of a man wearing a turban, a vision the East, and a woman with a crown. Both are embellished with jewellery, flowers and citrus fruits. The Moor’s Heads, also known as Graste. They tell a story of passion, betrayal, jealousy and revenge.
